National Day of Service - F.L.I.T.E.
GFWC National Day of Service
This year GFWC has chosen food insecurity and hunger as the theme for the National Day of Service. Our club will participate by doing a food drive at the September
meeting for F.L.I.T.E.
Please bring non-perishable items to the meeting.
Remember the food items should be items that young adults would be interested in. Include items such as:
Chef Boyardee Ravioli, Beefaroni, Spaghetti & Meatballs, or Spaghettios
· Mac & Cheese
· Campbell’s - variety of soups
· Crackers - Saltines, Ritz, Graham crackers
· Instant cereals - Oatmeal, Grits
· Tuna Fish
· Ramen noodles
· Cup of noodles
· Dinty Moore Stews - variety
· Peanut Butter & Jelly
· Canned fruits - variety
· Granola bars - variety
Perishable items: Breads - white, Rye, Multigrain, bagels
Every little bit goes a long way.

It is with great pride that I thank every member for the
annual “Day of Service” food drive that we donated to the FLITE Center.
There were HUNDREDS of pounds of food. I especially learned this first-hand helping to load the two cars with the bags and bags of groceries!
As FLITE attempts to aid in all areas for struggling young adults, we can pride ourselves with knowing many will have food on their tables thanks to our Club.
Feel free to reach out directly to make any personal donations of additional food, monetary gifts or gently used households.
