Guest Speakers: Garden a la Carte
At the March general meeting we had Jen and Claudia from Garden a la Carte come to speak about plants. The lavender plant they brought was simply divine in its fragrance!
The edible lemon balm and mint was a great addition for our dump salad table!

Guest Speaker: Plantation Police Chief Schlegel
Posted on the Plantation Police Department’s Facebook page on 3/10/26.
Today, Chief Schlegel had the pleasure of meeting with the GFWC Plantation Woman's Club to introduce himself as the department’s new Chief of Police and to reaffirm the Police Department’s commitment to public safety and strong partnerships within our community.
During the visit, Chief Schlegel also presented the Woman’s Club with a framed photograph of our newest K-9, Minty, who was generously purchased for the department by the club at the end of last year. We are grateful for their continued support and their dedication to helping keep our community safe.

District Arts & Crafts Competition March 14, 2026
The regional Arts and Craft Competition took place at the Hollywood Women’s Club on Saturday, March 14. Lou Ireland was 1st place winner for her crocheted Christmas stocking. It was exquisite! Lou will go on to the state competition in Orlando later this year.
Congratulations Lou! We are so proud of you! Helen Ackerman and Lynne Grubb received 2nd place awards for their entries at the regional competition as well. We’re thrilled to have such talented members!
Now is the time to get YOUR creative juices flowing. No matter what you enjoy making, crafting, painting, or creating with your hands, there is a category in which you can participate. Don’t be shy! There will be another competition at the end of the year, and we want to see MANY more participating. You can enter as many items as you wish in as many categories you may wish to enter.
