Power our 9-1-1 Systems National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (NPSTW) is a significant event that honors the dedication and hard work of public safety telecommunicators. Celebrated annually during the second week of April, NPSTW was established in 1981 by Patricia Anderson of the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office in California. It was later signed into a Presidential Proclamation by President William J. Clinton in 1994, recognizing the critical role of telecommunications personnel in ensuring that no call for help goes unanswered.
