Gail Triviz reported the scholarship applications have been distributed to the local high schools and encourage anyone who knows a student graduating high school to apply.
At the upcoming May meeting, there will be the opportunity to order new PWC shirts. Can't wait to see what they look like!!
Our April meeting will be about Education
Judy McLeod gave an update on Plantation Elementary - thank you notes from the kids (how sweet!). Also since it's cold and flu season, the school is in need of tissues and hand sanitizer - if you can help donate these items that would be appreciated. Our own Helen Ackerman has donated her Baby Grand piano to the school for their music program - see picture below. Such a kind and generous act, Helen! Those children will really benefit from your generousity!
Book Fairy Update - WE NEED MORE BOOKS!! Please bring books to future meetings. The children which benefit from these books will be out on Spring Break and soon after, summer vacation. The children will be at the parks which the "fairies" deliver...please consider giving some books.
Donations are needed for the baskets for the Woman of the Year event. Monetary donations were collected at the meeting - if you have something you would like to donate, please contact Barbara Graveson...her number is in the yearbook. Thank you in advance!
