October General Meeting
October 11, 2022
I hope you all liked the October meeting as much as I did! Our very own Mardi Gras maven was terrific. Thanks so much Bev. Also, if you missed the meeting, you missed Meat Ball soup made by our own Karinne Bernstein. And let’s not forget the beautiful centerpieces. Fabulous as always.
Thank you everyone who made this a great meeting!

Tastings from the Bernstein Bears Kitchen
I am so happy you loved the tasting. There was barely any left. I’ll have you know that was FOUR, yes 4 batches of soup!
This tasting was found on page 32 called Stone Soup…OOPS!... I mean MEATBALL SOUP by Diane Veltri-Bendekovic, former Mayor of the City of Plantation. It was an amazing recipe to follow because it allows YOU to add what you like the most.
Side notes: you don’t need to simmer for 5 hours – I cooked on medium for 2 hours - I started with the soup base, onions and meatballs first. You can even clean out the fridge with leftovers as part of your soup.
(You should read the story about stone soup if you haven’t yet, it’s a wonderful children’s story of friendship and
sharing).

I sincerely want to thank the following women for going above and beyond for the HUNDREDS OF HOURS of time they donated for “Light Up City Hall” and the “Plantation Holiday Parade”.

Thank You Box
I want to thank everyone that placed a thank you in the box this month. With that said, I know our sisters have done more then what I saw. Please remember to thank your friends for their support.
The winner this month cornered the market. Always willing to lend a helping hand at any time. One person was picked all three times! Congrats to Cece Ramirez!!!!!
