Tiger Bucks Toy Drive at our Holiday Luncheon
December 2018
Thank you everyone for your generous donations at the Holiday Luncheon for the Tiger Buck Store. The table was filled with wonderful and thoughtful gifts.
The students were so excited to come to the store in December and they bought gifts for family and friends, and also for themselves.
They had been saving their Tiger Bucks, so many left with bags of goodies and big smiles - giving us many thank you hugs. Our club is greatly appreciated at Plantation Elementary School!

Plantation Elementary School - Tiger Bucks
October - 2018
It was a pleasure to have Mr. Vinson Jones, the magnet coordinator at Plantation Elementary School, come to our luncheon and meeting in October.
He expressed the school’s gratitude for all the work our club does at the school in the Tiger Buck Store. He acknowledged the donations and time we put in at the store, and also mentioned how much this incentive helps the teachers and students to do their best. He also presented us with a certificate from the school.
The Tiger Buck Store will be open November 12th and 19th, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
This year at our Holiday Luncheon (December 11th), we will have our toy drive again. The children always look forward to everything we bring for them to “buy” in the store. If you can donate a small unwrapped toy and bring it the luncheon, it would be very appreciated. There will be more info in the next newsletter.
Thanks again for all your donations and for the volunteers at the store.

TIGER BUCKS PROJECT
Councilman Jerry Fadgen visited our Tiger Buck store and was able to see all the wonderful things we do for Plantation Elementary School. He was impressed with the program and the students reaction, and the children loved him.
One Tiger Dollar for you…. One for you… And one fooor YOU!
The Plantation Woman’s Club has created an incentive program for the children of Plantation Elementary School.
This program lead by Judy McLeod allows students to earn Tiger Dollars for being in class, resolving a conflict, demonstrating exemplary behavior, extra efforts in projects, promoting anti-bullying and any additional positive behaviors that the teachers feel rewards are deserved.
The students then bring their bucks to the Tiger Buck Store and can purchase items that have been supplied by the Plantation Woman’s Club. These items grow in size from something small and cute to as large as a bicycle.
Volunteers donate hours Monday, Wednesday or Friday mornings during school hours. We count and record Tiger Bucks for each student under a bank register. We help students to make deposits, purchases and review balances similar to a bank teller. This additional bonus of “learned banking” also helps students in developing lifelong skills with future checking and savings accounts.
One child is already saving for “the bicycle"! Which only needs 100 Tiger Bucks to obtain. Every volunteer finds it to be a rewarding value and much appreciated by the school.
